Enter the 2010 Healthcare Environment Awards
DEADLINE: Extended to July 12
Recognizing innovative designs that enhance the quality of healthcare delivery, Contract magazine, along with the Center for Health Design, honor distinctive designs in healthcare at the Healthcare Environment Awards.
The annual competition honors projects in six categories--Acute (inpatient) Care Facilities, Ambulatory (outpatient) Care Facilities, Long-Term Care/Assisted Living Facilities, Health and Fitness Facilities, Landscape Design, and Conceptual Design. A student category will also be judged for projects in healthcare products (furniture, furnishings, etc.); healthcare settings (patient areas, examination rooms, corridors, etc.); or technology (equipment, systems, etc.).
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony during HEALTHCARE DESIGN.10, which will be held this year on Nov. 13-16 in Las Vegas. Winners will showcase their project at the event and will also be featured in an upcoming healthcare design issue of Contract magazine.
Projects will be judged by a panel of designers and architects with expertise in healthcare design (to be announced), as well as a member of the board of The Center for Health Design. Evaluations will be based on visual and graphic images, a demonstrated response to the program statement, a demonstrated partnership between the client and design professionals, and client feedback and testimony that the project seeks to improve the quality of healthcare offered.
The competition is sponsored by Contract magazine in association with The Center for Health Design, the HEALTHCARE DESIGN.10, and The Vendome Group.
