and more, the commercial design community plays a leadership role in furthering
global efforts for social responsibility. In response to these accomplishments,
and true to our mission of inspiring commercial design solutions, Contract magazine presents its second annual Inspiration Awards in 2010.
The award, which honors and celebrates the commercial design community’s leadership role in furthering global efforts for social responsibility in the built and unbuilt environments, will bestow two $5,000 grants for the winning firms' cause at a special event on April 8 at the San Francisco Planning and Urban Research
Association (SPUR). Winning projects will be featured in an upcoming issue of Contract
magazine and at ContractDesign.com.
Last year’s inaugural winners include the Meeting Street Center
of Excellence, an inclusive school for children with disabilities, and
Botanist, a collection of customizable eco-friendly furniture with a cause-related giving program.
