The Wyndham Hotels and Resorts brand is making its Chinese debut
with the opening of the 588-room Wyndham Xiamen. The 5-Star hotel
features five F&B concepts, 37,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, a
2,658-sq.-ft. business center, and extensive fitness facilities.
Architectural and design highlights include a 66-ft.-high
waterfall; 23-ft.-tall lobby chandelier glistening with 882 large
crystal drops and 88 light bulbs; and the hotel's front face, which
includes 460 energy-efficient lights that create a kaleidoscope of
changing colors and designs at night. Residing at the hotel's
entrance is a 23-ft.-high statue named the Goddess of Heping,
representing an interpretation of the indigenous goddess of the
sea, Mazu.
The top five floors comprise the Wyndham Club, with 90 executive
rooms, library, business services, meeting room, and split-level
lounge. The centerpiece of the meeting facilities is a
13,558-square-foot, pillarless grand ballroom that can accommodate
up to 1,000 guests.
