Atlas Industries Opens Brooklyn Showroom
July 8, 2008
Atlas Industries, an independent design and manufacturing studio of
high-end handcrafted furniture has opened it first namesake
showroom in Brooklyn, NY.
Based at 339 Douglass Street, next to the Atlas Industries design
facility, the space will showcase the versatility of the as4
modular furniture system™. The system comprises coordinating
storage, shelving, and workspace components, among them cabinets,
drawers, file hangers, desk tops, racks, and shelves. These can be
configured in an endless variety of ways to create wall units,
libraries, home theater environments, bureaus, credenzas, consoles,
and home offices. The new showroom will demonstrate how this "kit
of parts" may be assembled into multiple configurations. On the
floor will be several desk/shelving/storage combinations, and a
home library display. All of the samples on view will be built of
walnut, though cherry, white oak, and maple are also
available.
Atlas is owned by partners Joseph Fratesi and Thomas Wright.
