Wendi Goldsmith and William Hall, Bioengineering Group

To further bring its strategic vision into realization, Bioengineering Group, a Salem, Mass.-based earth science and engineering consulting and design firm, announced yesterday (March 3) two important changes in its top leadership. Current president Wendi Goldsmith, who founded the firm in 1992, was appointed as CEO; while William Hall, joined as president.

Hall brings 20 years of experience to the woman-owned comapny. He most recently served as vice president at environmental services firm Nova Technologies to manage the integration of Sevem Trent Pipeline services, where he was previously responsible for directing acquisitions and defining the company’s marketing and sales programs.

“The technical side of my career has encompassed geology and hydrogeology, as well as geotechnical, civil, and environmental engineering.” says Hall in a statement.  “Bioengineering Group is rapidly growing in the areas of sustainable design and construction using a broad approach of integrated science and engineering, and is a great company in which to apply the technical, business development, and managerial expertise that I can provide.”

“We are ecstatic to bring a seasoned veteran of the science and engineering industry into a key leadership role with our firm,” says Goldsmith. “We know his ‘can do’ attitude and engaging personality is the right mix for our culture of collaboration as we tackle increasingly large sustainable design projects. Together we make a ‘dynamic duo’ with me at the tiller and Bill at the sails.”
