Invista S.à r.l. has named Henning M. Bloech global sustainability director for its Performance Surfaces and Materials business.

The international design office of HDR, Inc. has taken up residence at 560 Mission Street in San Francisco. The recent move to the city's thriving South of Market area signifies their rapid growth explosion from 4 to over 70 team members in one year despite the economic challenges.
 
Laticrete in Bethany, Conn. has appointed Ron Nash as new director of national sales for its range of premium adhesives, waterproofing membranes and stain resistant grouts. Nash will now head all strategic sales efforts in North America.

Teresa Priest Seibert has started her own interior design practice in Cincinnati -- Harkness Design Group.

BBG-BBGM, architectural and interior design firms, are proud to announce that senior partner, Louis R. Hedgecock, AIA, has been promoted to managing partner.  As managing partner, Hedgecock will oversee the direction and strategy for the New York office's architectural practice and act as lead administrative partner, directing all business and legal activities.

Andromeda America Ltd. has been set up in Miami to consolidate Andromeda's sales on the American continent. The new company will be promoting and selling the artistic works of lighting produced in the Murano glassworks and has involved purchase of the building and creation of a special structure dedicated to marketing and trade.  

The Lighting Controls Association (LCA), administered by the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), has announced the election of a new executive team headed by Gary Meshberg as president.

St. Louis-based idX Corporation, a worldwide leader in fixture manufacturing, logistics and project management for the retail, hospitality, financial and point-of-purchase markets, has named Gordon S. Bjorkman III vice president strategic accounts.

Callison has announced the promotions of Dave Scurlock, Doug Shaw, Bret Wiggins, Susan Soehnlen, Mackey Deasy, and Annmarie Brintnall to the role of director. Directors consistently show leadership in their respective fields of expertise, applying their knowledge to define and implement firm strategies.

KlingStubbins is pleased to announce that Joseph A. Castner, AIA, RIbA, LEEd AP, has been appointed the Cambridge office's managing director. Mr. Castner formerly served as the firm's director of architecture in Philadelphia and has been with KlingStubbins for 11 years.

Hickory, N.C.-based Charles Stewart Contract, a manufacturer of custom commercial seating for upscale hospitality, corporate, and institutional environments, has hired Mel Kelly to manage sales and marketing efforts in growing furniture upholstery contract markets.
