Beaulieu Commercials' Nexterra Carpet Tile Earns Environmental Choice Certification of New Zealand

Nov 27, 2008

Beaulieu Commercials Nexterra Carpet Tile has captured the prestigious Environmental Choice Certification of New Zealand. Garnered as the official environmental labeling program in New Zealand, the program operates independently from the government but the label is government owned and endorsed.  Established in 1990, Environmental Choice New Zealand is a voluntary, multiple specifications based environmental labeling program that operates to international standards and principles. This eco-label has been classified as one of the worlds most robust in terms of its processes for accessing products that are environmentally preferable.

The Environmental Choice certification is fast becoming recognized by flooring manufacturers around the world as the most coveted environmental and sustainability benchmark for products.

"Our Nexterra carpet tile not only holds the prestigious NSF-140 Platinum certification here in the United States but now it is openly accepted by the official Global EcoLabeling Network by carrying the Environmental Choice Label of New Zealand," states James Lesslie, president of Beaulieu Commercial.  "We have made great strides to offer a product that harmonizes both national and international environmental standards."
