KlingStubbins Turns Spotlight on Local Talent

KlingStubbins Interiors recently held its 7th Annual Student Design Competition for local colleges and universities in and around Philadelphia, where students participated in an all-day design charette. The jury included Danine Alati, managing editor of Contract Magazine; Maria Romanach, RA, of Maria C. Romanach Architects; and Bradford W. Fiske, FAIA, KlingStubbins' national director of design.

The winners of KlingStubbins Interior's 7th Annual Student Design Competition were:
1st Place Jamie Wrenn (Art Institute of Philadelphia)
2nd Place Tara McGeehan (Drexel University)
3rd Place Samantha Fletcher (Art Institute of Philadelphia)
Honorable Mention Kristin Mann (Arcadia University )
Honorable Mention Grace Hee Yon Chon (Drexel University)
Honorable Mention Kristen Arnold (Moore College of Art)
Honorable Mention  Melissa Foglietta (Moore College of Art)
Honorable Mention  Cheyanne Miller (Philadelphia University)
Honorable Mention Crystal Russell (Philadelphia University)
Honorable Mention  Karen Schlegel (Philadelphia University)

Winners received cash awards of up to $3,000 and were announced at the Awards Ceremony and Cocktail Reception on Thursday, Nov. 6 at the Ritz-Carlton in Philadelphia. The winning students not only participated in receiving their award at that time, but also had the opportunity to be introduced to the Philadelphia design community.
