Global glory recently was bestowed upon the winners of the prestigious 2010 International Architecture Awards. Ninety-five structures from 38 countries were named among the hundreds of worldwide entries received. The annual International Architecture Awards, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum and the Urban Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, seek to honor the most significant, new architecture designed—including built and unbuilt commercial, corporate, institutional, or residential building type or urban planning projects—designed after January 1, 2008.

Winning firms will see their projects featured online and in print by the Metropolitan Arts Press. Projects also will be exhibited at the “The City and The World” Conference in Madrid, Spain, being held on November 4-7. Following the conference, an exhibition of the winners will travel throughout Europe and the United States.
