Football, better known as “soccer” to those in America, isn’t just another sport in some areas of the world; in South Africa, the first African nation to host the FIFA World Cup in July 2010, it’s the sport. With a goal of bringing the country’s football tradition passed the World Cup to contribute to the Soweto, South Africa, community and the development of youth football around Johannesburg, Nike Global Football Brand Design enlisted Vancouver-based RUFproject to design the world’s first state-of-the art, all-encompassing football training center that would contribute to improving the performance of football players on both a physical and mental level.
