Zeftron nylon has announced that all new and existing products made with its premium nylon 6 fiber now come standard with the Enviro6ix® designation, which guarantees that all carpet made with Zeftron nylon has a minimum of 25 percent recycled content.

The Enviro6ix designation is a third party certification guaranteeing a minimum of 25 percent recycled content in every color. It also indicates that carpet can be recycled using Zeftron nylon’s 6ix Again commercial carpet recycling program offering end users an alternative to landfill disposal.

“If it’s Zeftron, it’s Enviro6ix,” says Tim Blount, Zeftron nylon’s business leader. “This announcement reinforces our commitment to making an environmentally responsible commercial carpet fiber. The Enviro6ix label gives end users, facility managers, specifiers, and interior designers the assurance that all carpet made with Zeftron nylon has no less than 25 percent recycled content.”

Zeftron nylon is available in hundreds of existing styles through a multitude of mill partner product offerings specific for commercial project installations. Because of its versatility, Zeftron nylon has been specified in such varied commercial interior spaces as colleges (New York University, Boston University, University of California at Berkley), airports (John F. Kennedy International Airport) and hotels (The New Yorker Hotel).
