The American Institute of Architects (AIA) has named 122 members who will be elevated to its College of Fellows. The 2013 fellows will be honored at an investiture ceremony at the 2013 National AIA Convention and Design Exposition in Denver in June.
Fellows and honorary fellows encompass 3,100 of the 83,000 total AIA membership. The elevation to fellowship is conferred on architects with minimum 10 years of membership in the AIA, and recognizes members who have made significant contributions to the profession.
The 2013 jury of fellows were jury chair Linda Searl, FAIA, Searl Lamaster Howe Architects; John Castellana, FAIA, TMP Architecture, Inc.; Brian Dougherty, FAIA, Dougherty + Dougherty Architects, LLP; Leevi Kiil, FAIA, Leevi Kiil Architect; Susan Maxman, FAIA, SMP Architects LTD; Craig Rafferty, FAIA, Rafferty Rafferty Tollefson Lindeke Architects and Raymond Yeh, FAIA, Yeh Studio.
The AIA also named six international architects as honorary fellows. Those architects are Zvi Hecker, Hon. FAIA, Ladislav Labus, Hon. FAIA, Francisco Mangado, Hon. FAIA, Fernando Romero, Hon. FAIA, Matthias Sauerbruch, Hon. FAIA, Ben van Berkel, Hon. FAIA, and Siegfried Zhiqiang Wu, Hon. FAIA.
