The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) has hired Chris M. Tucker as its new chief operating officer. He succeeds Thom Banks, who served as COO for the last 15 years.
Tucker will work in tandem with executive vice president and CEO Randy Fiser to carry out the organization's mission as a resource and advocate for the interior design industry. Tucker also will focus on implementing ASID’s next-generation initiatives.
Prior to joining ASID, Tucker spent 11 years at the Association of American Medical Colleges, where he directed enterprise-wide marketing and oversaw one of the organization’s largest professional development groups. Previously he was director of the Washington Center at Johns Hopkins University's School of Professional Studies in Business and Education.
