The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA) Board of Directors elected Heather Robertson Corrigan as its 2013 Board Chair. Corrigan is principal of Robertson MacLean Design Limited in Nova Scotia. Additionally, Dr. Pamela K. Evans, associate dean and interior design director at Kent State University, was elected Secretary Treasurer.
Collin Burry, FIIDA, was appointed to a three-year term as liaison to the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and is the only new director appointed to the nine-member board. Burry, a design principal at Gensler, joined the firm in 1997 and has more than 25 years of professional experience. With projects ranging from technology and corporate headquarters to showrooms, media, retail, hospitality, and product design, he has garnered over 50 design awards and been featured in many publications.
In addition, two board members were appointed to a second three-year term. Carol Jones, FIIDA, Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd., was reappointed as the CIDA liaison to the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), and Dr. Jane Kucko, Texas Christian University, will again serve as the CIDA Accreditation Commission representative.
