Mannington Commercial has named a team of six architects and interior designers as the grand prize winner of its Design Local competition. Known as Team DC, the collaboration—comprising Patricia Duval, Kristyn Hill, Preeti Reedy, Maggie Pascoe, Bonny Slater, and Anne Stahl—hails from Washington, D.C., Boston, and New York.
Mannington commissioned designers in Austin, Chicago, San Francisco, and D.C., to create a collection that celebrates the spirit of their hometown during a 24-hour period. The teams submitted their creations for online voting after developing concepts with the flooring company’s product designers.
TEAM DC's collection, On the Grid, takes inspiration from the maps, signs, transportation, and topography of the nation’s capital. The group will premiere their collection at NeoCon 2013 in the Mannington showroom.
