Silverstein Properties has broken ground on the 189-key Four Seasons New York Downtown. Robert A.M. Stern Architects will design the 926-foot-tall limestone and cast stone tower, while Yabu Pushelberg is responsible for the hotel interiors. The Barclay Street Entrance will open to three floors of lobbies, lounges, a restaurant, ballrooms, and meeting facilities.
"Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown will be a truly spectacular property, drawing inspiration from the vibrant architecture, culture, and energy of New York,” Craig Reid, president hotel operations, Americas, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement.
The building also calls for 157 residential units to be designed by Stern. The hotel is slated to debut in mid-2016.
