The National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) and the International Builders’ Show (IBS) will co-locate in Las Vegas for the February 2014 expositions. Each event will remain a separate and distinct show.
Combining locations simultaneously at the Las Vegas Convention Center will remain in effect through 2016, with KBIS and IBS expos held from February 4- 6 in 2014; January 20- 22 in 2015; and January 19- 21 in 2016. The agreement has also established Design and Construction Week, transforming Las Vegas into a destination for ideas, products, and technologies to design, build, and remodel homes. By 2015, StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas and SURFACES will also join Design and Construction Week.
“This new format allows exhibitors to reach full range of design and construction professionals who buy, specify, and influence the products that go into American homes,” says Barry Rutenberg, chairman of the National Association of Home Builders, the company that produces IBS. “For attendees, it means access to two expansive trade show floors and hundreds of additional suppliers to meet.”
John Morgan, 2013 president of NKBA, echoed excitement surrounding the agreement, calling it “two shows, two associations, and one place to see and connect with every aspect of residential construction and remodeling.”
