IIDA Announces 2015 HD Product Design Competition Winners

Fossil by Stone Source, Eric Engstrom Best of Competition award winner

The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has named the winners of the 19th Annual IIDA/HD Product Design Competition, which is presented in partnership with Hospitality Design magazine and open to all exhibitors at HD Expo 2015.

The competition honors innovation, functionality, and aesthetic advancements in the hospitality design industry. Awards in 14 categories were presented and Stone Source’s product, Fossil, was honored with the Eric Engstrom Best of Competition award.

“This year’s winning products of the IIDA/HD Product Design Competition at HD Expo 2015 showcased the very best of the best in not only design but in innovation and utility as well,” said IIDA President-Elect Scott Hierlinger, IIDA. “The hospitality industry is ever-changing and evolving, and these products were cutting-edge, environmentally responsible, and had enormous benefits to both the user and the client.”

The 2015 judging panel consists of Fabio Grego, AIA, Hyatt International, Chicago; Scott Hierlinger, IIDA, Nelson, Minneapolis; Carlos Posada, IIDA, Gensler, Los Angeles; and Meg Prendergast, The Gettys Group, Chicago.

The winning products will be featured on IIDA’s website and published in the July 2015 issue of Hospitality Design magazine and HD Show Daily.
