Situated five blocks from Petco Park baseball stadium, the $275 million design will accommodate 426 apartments as well as up to 66,000 square feet of offices and classrooms for the University of California, San Diego spread across four stories. Reaching 360 feet in height, the residential tower will also be equipped with a pool, spa, and other amenities on its 33rd floor. A renovated space on the site is expected to host a restaurant and a 3,200-square-foot outdoor amphitheater.

“The Park & Market development is a bold and exciting advance for San Diego’s growth, and for urban transit-oriented mixed-use,” says Carrier Johnson + Culture design principal and partner Michael Johnson, AIA. “The combination of scales and uses will help ensure the development serves as a vibrant mixed-use community, while also bringing a major institution of learning to San Diego’s downtown.”
