The Keppel Cove Marina and Clubhouse has debuted as a new hub for maritime activities in Zhongshan, China. Located along the banks of the Xi River, the 538,200-square-foot structure is designed by UNStudio with strong maritime symbolism and a material palette inspired by nautical opulence.

A facade of bronze-toned aluminum paneling references the craftsmanship of contemporary yacht and speedboat design, while interiors are lined with wood panels reminiscent of the decks of luxury ocean liners. To embrace its waterfront setting, the building features a landward face with minimal openings and waterside exterior open with extensive glazing. Floorplates are also punctured with funnels that maintain a visual connection across internal spaces while also ensuring natural cross-ventilation. In addition to the clubhouse, the seven-story volume comprises a service center, luxury residential villas, and leisure facilities such as a spa, fitness center, karaoke bar, dining, and accommodations.
